OUR BOARDS

Board of Directors

The Inspired Community Project's Board of Directors is a diverse and dedicated group comprising eight individuals, with representation from various backgrounds and expertise. Each member brings unique perspectives and experiences to the table, ensuring comprehensive decision-making and strategic planning for the organization's mission and goals. The board's composition reflects a commitment to inclusivity and representation, with members hailing from the Bronx, having firsthand experience as neurodivergent adults, being parents of neurodivergent children, or possessing professional expertise as behavior analysts or special educators in New York City. This diversity not only enriches the board's discussions but also ensures that the organization's initiatives are informed by a broad range of perspectives and insights.

In addition to the Board of Directors, The Inspired Community Project has established two important subcommittees to further its mission: the Young Professionals Board Subcommittee and the Family Advocacy Board Subcommittee.

The Family Advocacy Board (FAB) Subcommittee serves as a platform for parents to actively engage in the decision-making processes of The Inspired Community Project and advocate for the needs of their children and families. By empowering parents to assume leadership roles within the organization and the broader community, this subcommittee fosters a sense of ownership, investment, and inclusion among families of neurodivergent children. Through collaborative efforts with the broader Bronx community, the Family Advocacy Board works to strengthen the impact of The Inspired Community Project, improve access to essential support services, and promote positive outcomes for children with disabilities and their families. By leveraging the collective expertise, experiences, and voices of parents, this subcommittee ensures that the organization remains responsive to the diverse needs and priorities of the communities it serves.

YOUNG PROFESSIONALS BOARD

The Young Professionals Board (YPB) Subcommittee focuses on creating an informed workforce within the field of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). Composed of workforce development cohort members, this committee is dedicated to learning and practicing the skills necessary for vetting, interviewing, and selecting ABA agencies. Through structured training, members gain insight into crucial aspects of agency operations, such as supervision ratios, cancellation policies, caseload management, and service delivery metrics. By empowering young professionals with the knowledge and skills to make informed decisions about their career paths, the YPB not only enhances their professional development but also plays a vital role in promoting ethical practices within the ABA industry. Through their active participation in agency selection processes, they ensure that the organizations partnered with The Inspired Community Project uphold standards of excellence and integrity, ultimately fostering a more accountable and reputable workforce.
