Research partnership

  • The Inspired Community Project (TICP) is a Clinical Site Partner of SPARK, the largest autism research study in the United States, led by the Yale University Child Study Center and supported by the Simons Foundation. This collaboration is embedded within TICP’s Family Advocacy Coaching Supports (FACS) program and aims to expand access to autism research participation for underserved and historically excluded families in the Bronx.

  • As a Clinical Site Partner, TICP helps families:

    • Learn about and enroll in SPARK’s national research registry through trusted, in-community support.

    • Contribute to vital autism research by sharing behavioral, medical, and optional genetic data in a safe, accessible way.

    • Build a stronger research foundation that includes diverse voices and experiences, which is essential for understanding the full spectrum of autism.

SPARK currently includes over 380,000 participants and is committed to making scientific discoveries that lead to better services, supports, and therapies for autistic individuals and their families.

    • TICP continues to integrate SPARK outreach into its FACS program through ongoing education, community engagement, and registration support.

    • Families who are interested can enroll online or with assistance from FACS coaches at TICP. You can reach a FACS coach here.

    • This partnership will support future efforts to reduce disparities in autism research and ensure that findings reflect the real needs of the communities TICP serves.
